Serena Peterson is a highly skilled scientist with substantial experience in battery technology and electrochemical engineering. Currently serving as a Scientist at Saft since June 2017, Serena leads new cell development and qualification processes while driving failure analysis and continuous development with vendors and customers. Prior experience includes a position as a Battery Scientist at FlexEl LLC, where Serena designed and built various prototype batteries and established quality control measures. Serena's background also encompasses work as a Process Engineer at Intel Corporation, focusing on process improvements and cross-functional collaboration, and as a Battery Research and Development Engineer at Brigham Young University, where significant contributions were made to battery design and modeling. Serena holds a PhD in Electrochemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
