Alfonso Acosta

Alfonso Acosta is an experienced software engineer and technical consultant with a strong background in decentralized payment protocols and embedded systems. Currently serving as a Staff Protocol Engineer at Saga.xyz since September 2025, Alfonso also operates as the Owner and Freelancer at Syntactic Sugar, providing software and technical management consulting services. Prior experience includes roles at Stellar Development Foundation, where work focused on open-source payment technologies, and Neko Health, contributing to medical sensor software. With a history of leading technology teams and developing backend solutions in Golang at companies such as Weaveworks and Certus Operations, Alfonso also has a solid educational foundation with master's degrees in Telecommunications and Computer Science from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, respectively.
