Dion Draper has a strong background in financial management and accounting. Dion began their career in 1993 at Michell Pty. Ltd. as a Management Accountant, where they stayed until 1999. From 1999 to 2000, they worked as a Finance Manager at Mane Market Pty Ltd. Dion then joined Tenix Defence Systems Pty Ltd in 2001 as a Finance Manager, where they stayed until 2007. During this time, they also held the role of Finance Manager - ESD at Tenix Defence from 2001 to 2007. Dion then moved to Sage Automation in 2007 as a Group Financial Controller, a position they held until 2013. In 2013, they became the Chief Financial Officer at SAGE Group. Overall, Dion has over 20 years of experience in financial management and accounting roles.
Dion Draper completed an Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 2022. Dion also attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2013. Dion'sundergraduate education includes a degree in Business with a focus on Accountancy from the University of South Australia, which they completed from 1990 to 1993. In their earlier years, Dion attended Broken Hill High School from 1984 to 1989. Additionally, they pursued further professional development through CPA Australia.
