Sophia Jobe

Sophia Jobe has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sophia is currently a Technical Project Manager at Sage Bionetworks, where they take a servant-leader approach to support the Data Processing & Engineering team. Sophia'srole involves designing and building data infrastructure to process and harmonize raw data for research purposes. Sophia actively contributes to process improvements and utilizes Agile approaches to meet the needs of various projects.

Prior to their current role, Sophia worked as a Clinical Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In this position, they oversaw software development for mobile apps and a web-based platform for sleep disorder triage. Sophia conducted beta-testing and managed a team of beta-testers to ensure usability.

Sophia also has experience as a Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant at Loyola University Maryland. As a Teaching Assistant, they assisted students with research project development and provided instruction on data analysis and academic paper preparation. In their roles as a Research Assistant, they compiled literature, edited academic research papers, and aided with data analysis for a graduate student's dissertation. Additionally, they served as an Honors Orientation Coordinator, organizing and running orientation activities for first-year students.

Furthermore, Sophia worked as a Practicum Student at the Kennedy Krieger Institute, scoring and interpreting rating scales and observing therapy sessions. Sophia also held a position as a President's Junior Leadership Council Member at Northern Westchester Hospital, where they developed and implemented projects to promote health and wellness in the community, particularly among youth populations. Sophia collaborated with local organizations and utilized their Spanish language proficiency to educate Spanish-speaking individuals about the hospital's resources.

Sophia Jobe holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Spanish from Loyola University Maryland. Sophia attended Loyola University Maryland for an unspecified period.
