John Darby

John joined Sage Mountain Advisors as a Senior Portfolio Manager in January 2023. Prior to Sage Mountain, John was a Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee member at Brightworth, an Atlanta-based RIA. There he was involved with all aspects of investment strategy including investment research, portfolio construction, and manager due diligence in both public and private markets. He also managed two US large cap equity strategies. John graduated from the University of Alabama-Birmingham where he also competed on the golf team. He lives in Marietta with his wife and two children. In his free time, John enjoys rock climbing and golf.
