Booyong Lim

Booyong Lim has over 18 years of experience in intellectual property law and has worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical industry. From December 2021 to the present, Booyong has been serving as the Senior Director of Intellectual Property at Sage Therapeutics. Prior to that, from August 2018 to December 2021, Booyong held the position of Associate General Counsel and IP Counsel at Kala Pharmaceuticals.

Booyong also has extensive experience at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where they held multiple positions. From December 2016 to August 2018, Booyong worked as the Director and Senior Patent Attorney. Before that, from December 2013 to December 2016, they served as a Patent Attorney. From June 2008 to November 2013, Booyong worked as a Patent Agent at Vertex Pharmaceuticals.

Booyong's career in intellectual property law began at Hamilton, Brook, Smith & Reynolds, P.C., where they worked as a Technology Specialist and Patent Agent from September 2003 to June 2008. With their diverse experience in the field, Booyong has developed a strong expertise in intellectual property law within the pharmaceutical industry.

Booyong Lim's education history is as follows:

Booyong Lim earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Seoul National University from 1990 to 1994.

From 1995 to 2001, Booyong Lim pursued a Ph.D. in Chemistry at Harvard University.

Following the completion of the Ph.D., Booyong Lim was a Post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University from 2001 to 2003, specializing in Chemistry.

Later, Booyong Lim attended Suffolk University Law School from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a J.D. degree.

In addition to their formal education, Booyong Lim obtained a certification in "Speaking Confidently and Effectively" from LinkedIn in August 2021.
