Chris Barber serves as a Principal Software Architect at Sage since February 2012, leading the Sage One Platform Team and overseeing a team of 4-5 developers. Previously, Chris held roles at Sage including Software Architect and Senior Developer, focusing on Ruby on Rails and JavaScript with a commitment to Test Driven Development. Prior to Sage, Chris was the Technical Director at Carrot Media Ltd, managing a development team and creating a Bulk Mail E-Billing Platform. Chris also contributed as Director of the Newcastle Young Professionals' Forum, fostering connections among local professionals, and accumulated initial experience as a Web Developer at Marcus Transport and in various operational roles. Chris earned a BSc in Computing Science from Newcastle University and completed education at Bradford Grammar School.
