Sagehen Capital Management
Founded in 2001, Sagehen Capital Management ("SCM") is a student-run hedge fund located at Pomona College. Open to all students at the Claremont Consortium, SCM provides an engaging environment for students to learn about investing through a hands-on approach. Today, SCM manages approximately $1 million of Pomona College's endowment with a value-oriented philosophy. Students receive weekly lessons on topics including valuation, portfolio management, and trading strategies. On occasion, the club hosts alumni, professors, or friends of the college to speak about their experiences in finance. The organizational structure includes Analysts, Senior Analysts, Fund Managers, and Executive Fund Manager(s).
