Joanna Sutherland

Joanna Sutherland is an experienced leader in risk analytics, currently serving as Director of Risk Analytics at Sagen since March 2020, where responsibilities include guiding a data and analytics team to provide insights on insurance and economic risks, implementing an analytics modernization strategy, and enhancing analytics maturity. Prior to Sagen, Joanna held various leadership roles at Genworth Canada from 2004 to 2020, focusing on loss projection models and regulatory compliance, and at Royal Bank of Canada, where significant advancements in risk modeling were made. Joanna's educational background includes a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Actuarial Science from the University of Calgary.
