Richard Carr

Richard Carr has over 13 years of experience in the GIS and analytics field. Richard began their career in 2007 as a Digital Mapping Analyst at Infoterra. In 2009, they joined the Rural Payments Agency (DEFRA) as a GIS Technical Specialist, where they used and developed advanced spatial analysis to create clear and succinct reports. In 2012, they joined Sagewell, Inc as Vice President of Analytics and later became Director of Analytics. Richard also held a short-term position as a GIS Specialist, where they were responsible for a full cycle of GIS development work, from the analysis of business workflows to the development of improved solutions using python, SQL and ArcGIS.

Richard Carr attended Polesworth High School and from 1997 to 2004, where they obtained A levels in Geography B, Theirtory B, Physics C, and General Studies C. Richard then attended the University of Leeds from 2004 to 2007, where they received a BSc (Hons) in Geography. Richard then attended The University of Edinburgh from 2008 to 2009, where they received an MSc in Geographical Information Science.
