Nari T Persad

Nari T Persad is the Group Chief Actuary at Sagicor Financial. Prior to this, Nari worked as a Principal at Eckler Ltd. from November 2014 to August 2017.

At Eckler Ltd., Nari provided business and actuarial consulting advice in matters related to mergers and acquisitions, strategic business reviews, product development and pricing for individual and group creditor insurance products, workers compensation, transfer pricing, and life settlements. Nari has a wealth of experience working with clients in various countries, including Canada, United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Colombia, Bermuda, Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad.

One of Nari's key areas of expertise is in the reinsurance area. Nari has devised and implemented complex reinsurance transactions which have resulted in significant financial benefits for clients. These transactions have included both traditional and non-traditional structures - some of which were the first of their kind to be implemented globally.

In the creditor insurance area, Nari has also devised and implemented many different types of insurance products for both traditional and non-traditional distribution networks. This has included advising clients on methods to increase sales penetration rates - where Nari has been successful in increasing these rates by 25%-50%, on a relative basis.

Nari T Persad has a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science and Biochemistry from the University of Toronto. They also have a Bachelor of Science - Specialist in Actuarial Science & Biochemistry from University College at the University of Toronto. They are certified by the Canadian Institute of Actuaries as a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and by the Society of Actuaries as a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.

Nari T Persad reports to Dodridge D Miller, Group President and Chief Executive Officer. They work with J. Edward Clarke - Executive Vice President and General Manager, Barbados, Anthony Chandler - Group Chief Financial Controller, and Bart F Catmull - President and Chief Operating Officer, Sagicor USA Inc.
