Mark Flegg has a diverse work experience. Mark has worked as a Lead Software Engineer for Move Details since April 2019, where they planned, designed, and supervised the conversion of software systems to a SAAS model. Prior to that, they founded Structured Practice Journal LLC in 2014, creating a web application for music practice journaling. Mark was also a Principal Trumpet for the Flint Symphony Orchestra since September 1995 and the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra since September 2010. Mark also worked as a Full Stack Engineer for Shadda, a Ryadh-based startup, from May 2019 to August 2021, building an Angular web application and handling client, driver, and order management. Furthermore, Mark worked as an Adjunct Trumpet Instructor at Saginaw Valley State University from September 2009 to May 2017 and as an Instructor of Applied Trumpet at Wayne State University from September 2008 to May 2017. Finally, they worked as a Second Trumpet for the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music from August 2003 to August 2009.
Mark Flegg earned a Bachelor of Music Education and Trumpet Performance degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in 1990. Mark then obtained a Master of Music degree in Trumpet Performance and Pedagogy from Arizona State University in 1994. Finally, they completed their education by earning a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Trumpet from Michigan State University in 2012.
