Romesh Wadhwani

Romesh Wadhwani is a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist with extensive experience in founding and leading various companies and organizations. Romesh is currently the Chairman and Founder of SAIGroup and SymphonyAI, where they aim to build the leading enterprise AI company for digital transformation in multiple industries. Romesh is also the Chairman of ConcertAI, a SAIGroup company focused on accelerating insights and outcomes for patients through AI technologies.

In 2001, Wadhwani founded the Wadhwani Foundation, where they serve as Founder and Chairman. Additionally, they founded Wadhwani AI in 2018, an independent nonprofit research institute that develops AI solutions for various societal domains.

Wadhwani's past experience includes serving as a Board Member, CEO, and Founder of Symphony Technology Group from 2002 to 2016. Romesh has also been a part of the Board of Trustees for the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) since 2011 and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts from 2012 to 2017.

Prior to these roles, Wadhwani held leadership positions as Chairman, Founder, and CEO of Aspect Development Inc. from 1991 to 2001, as well as Chairman and CEO of American Robot Corporation from 1982 to 1990.

Romesh Wadhwani began their education in 1969 at Carnegie Mellon University, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Romesh completed this degree in 1970. Following this, Wadhwani continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1971.

Wadhwani also received an Honorary Doctorate from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in 2018.
