David Urban

David Urban joined the Board in September 2025 and serves on the Audit Committee. Urban brings extensive experience across government, military, legal, private and public sectors to the Board.

Urban currently holds positions as Managing Director at the BGR Group, Of Counsel at Torridon Law and is a Senior Political Commentator for CNN. He has served as a trusted advisor to companies all around the world over the course of his career, including at Lockheed Martin, Zoom, Comcast, TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, CoinBase and 7-Eleven, among others. Urban also served as Chief of Staff to Senator Arlen Spector from 1997 to 2002 and as an Officer in the U.S. Army from 1986 to 1991.

He is a board member on several public, private and non-profit organizations, including Virtu Financial, Eos Energy and Subcom, as well as The Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate and the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund. Urban was the 10th Chairman of the American Battle Monuments Commission from 2018 to 2021 and a trustee at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (Board of Visitors) from 2019 to 2021. He is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University.
