Tim Thornton is an experienced aerospace professional with a focus on quality, reliability, and safety in spaceflight operations. Beginning a career at United Space Alliance from 2000 to 2004 as a Quality and Reliability Engineer, Tim later held positions including Systems Safety & Mission Assurance Manager at Boeing, where leadership spanned cross-functional teams supporting NASA projects. Subsequently serving as Director of Technical Assurance at TechnipFMC, Tim established a global organization for independent technical reviews. Currently, as NASA Gateway Reliability & Maintainability Lead at SAIC since October 2019, Tim oversees R&M requirements and manages the R&M Methodology Document, further contributing to the success of space missions. Tim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Houston.
