David Howson

David Howson is an experienced biotechnology executive with a strong background in advancing medical technologies and diagnostics. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at SAIGENE BIOTECH INC since April 2016, David is focused on developing a platform for the rapid identification of harmful environmental microbes. Previously, David held leadership roles including Chief Scientific Officer at Accelerate Diagnostics, where contributions included same-day pathogen diagnostics, and President at Accelr8 Technology Corp, leading innovative microbiological diagnostics for severe infections. David has a rich history in consulting and business development, co-founding several companies, and successfully raising significant investments to commercialize medical technologies. Educational background includes a B.S. in Physiological Psychology from Cornell University, complemented by earlier studies at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
