Ian Howes

Ian Howes is a seasoned logistics and supply chain professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as a Board Trustee for The Sleep Charity since February 2024, Ian also holds the position of Director of Logistics & Fulfilment Operations at Sainsbury's, where responsibilities include overseeing logistics for multiple brands and implementing the Argos Fulfilment transformation. Prior to this, Ian was the Supply Operations & Development Director for the Campaign for Better Transport and served as a Member of the Board of Trustees. Ian's experience at Argos includes various roles focused on supply chain development, distribution strategies, and operational excellence. Earlier career positions include Head of Distribution & Profit Protection at Homebase and Account Director at DHL. Ian is an alumnus of Hult Ashridge Executive Education, having completed a Senior Executive Programme in Business Management.
