Prerana Issar

Prerana Issar currently serves as the Chief People Officer and Head of Corporate Affairs at Sainsbury's, beginning in June 2023. Prior to this role, Prerana was the Chief People Officer for NHS England from April 2019 to June 2023, where responsibilities included managing HR for 1.4 million NHS staff. A notable career also includes leadership positions at the United Nations World Food Programme as Director of Public-Private Partnerships and Chief HR Officer, as well as Vice President of HR for Unilever's Global Foods Category. Earlier experience encompasses a research associate role at INSEAD and HR management positions within Unilever in India. Prerana holds a degree in Personnel Management and Labour Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from LSR, Delhi University.
