Tamsin Harrison

Tamsin Harrison (nee Petty) currently serves as the Head of Engineering at Sainsbury's since July 2023. Previously, Tamsin worked at The Open University from July 2019 to July 2023 as an IT Strategy & Transformation Consultant, where significant contributions were made as the Digital Transformation Lead and Student Systems Programme Manager. Notably, Tamsin led a £280m program restructure to innovate student systems, and spearheaded digital transformation initiatives. Earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Director of Engineering at TUI from January 2017 to June 2019, where Tamsin oversaw significant budgets and teams, establishing a Lean Agile Practice. Tamsin’s career at The Open University began in September 2006, culminating in various leadership roles focused on IT development and transformation, including overseeing a £20m transformation program and managing extensive software and engineering teams. Education includes a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from the University of Northampton and an MSc in Management of Software Projects from The Open University.
