Lakshmana Rao Challa

Lakshmana Rao Challa has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Lakshmana Rao is currently the Head of Operations & Material Development for the Window business at Saint-Gobain India Private Limited. Prior to that, they served as the Plant Head at aluplast, a subsidiary of aluplast GmbH, Germany. Lakshmana Rao was responsible for the start-up of the factory, implementation of specifications, and leadership of various departments. Before joining aluplast, Lakshmana worked at Fenesta Windows, where they held multiple roles including Sr. Manager of Operations and Supply Chain, Head of Operations & Project Management, and Head of Tooling and Plant Maintenance. Lakshmana Rao successfully achieved operational deliverables and established KPIs for their team. Earlier in their career, Lakshmana worked as a Supervisor of Tool & Die at HSI Automotive Limited, a Korean MNC and Tier1 Auto Ancillary of Hyundai.

Lakshmana Rao Challa began their education in 1994 at Government Polytechnic College, where they pursued a Diploma Sandwich in Mechanical Engineering. Lakshmana Rao completed this program in 1998. In 1998, they enrolled in the Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology in Chennai, where they obtained a Post Diploma in Machine Maintenance, focusing on Mechatronics and Plastics. During the period of 2007 to 2011, Lakshmana pursued Graduation in Mechanical Engineering-AMIE from the Institution of Engineers of India (IEI) in Kolkata, specializing in Manufacturing Technology. From 2012 to 2014, they attended the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, earning a PGDBA degree in Operations Management. Finally, in 2018, they completed a 6-month Executive Development Program in Leadership and Change Management at XLRI - VIL Programs.
