Joe Betz

Joe Betz serves as the Chair of the Theology Department and a Theology Teacher at Saint Ignatius High School since 2017, bringing extensive experience in theology education from previous roles at Boston College High School, Trinity Catholic High School, and Cristo Rey Boston High School. Joe's teaching career began as a Student Teacher in Theology at Cristo Rey Boston High School, followed by a position on the Arrupe Summer Camp Staff at Saint Ignatius High School, where responsibilities included teaching and organizing events for younger students. Academic credentials include a Master of Education and a Master of Theological Studies from Boston College, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Theology and Social Work from Mercyhurst University. Joe is an alumnus of Saint Ignatius High School, graduating in 2001.
