Martin Strickland

Martin Strickland is a seasoned arts professional currently serving as the Director at Saint Joseph's Arts Society since April 2024. Prior to this, Martin held various leadership roles at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts from April 2013 to April 2024, including Director of Curatorial Initiatives and Associate Director of Public Life, focusing on community engagement and public programming. Additional experience includes positions at the University of California, Berkeley as a Program Assistant, and the San Francisco Arts Commission as an Independent Contractor. Martin's earlier career encompassed roles at CrescentCare, the New Orleans Museum of Art, and as a staff writer for NOLAlicious. Martin holds a Master of Arts in Exhibition and Museum Studies from San Francisco Art Institute and a double Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and Art History from The University of Alabama.
