Marvin Meyers

Marvin Meyers is a distinguished chemistry professional with extensive experience in academia and the pharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Professor and Chemistry Graduate Program Coordinator at Saint Louis University since July 2010, Marvin teaches the Introduction to Medicinal Chemistry course and mentors undergraduate student researchers. Previous roles include leadership positions at the Center for World Health & Medicine as Director of Chemistry and Research Fellow, where significant contributions were made to drug discovery projects, particularly in malaria research. Prior to academic roles, Marvin worked at Pfizer as a Senior Principal Scientist, successfully leading multidisciplinary teams in the development of biological assays and synthesizing complex compounds for various medical applications. Marvin holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a BA in Chemistry from Dordt University.
