Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City from 2007 to 2011. Joshua also pursued undergraduate studies in Business Management/Accounting at Metropolitan Community College-Maple Woods from 2001 to 2002. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications, including Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIH Stroke Scale, Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare (BLS), Introduction to Incident Command Systems for Health Care/Hospitals, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention.
