Melanie Richardson

Dean of Student Affairs at Saint Martin's University

Melanie Richardson is currently the Dean of Student Affairs at Saint Martin's University. Melanie has over 25 years of experience working in various counseling and social work roles.

Richardson began their career as a Family Reconciliation Counselor with Community Youth Services in July 1985. In this role, they provided short-term, crisis-oriented family therapy to clients in the Washington state area. Melanie then became the Treatment Coordinator at Excelsior Residential Treatment Center in June 1984, where they supervised, evaluated and trained counselors in an adolescent treatment unit.

In September 1983, Richardson took on a position as a Certified School Social Worker with Spokane School District #381, where they worked with students and families to provide social and emotional support. Melanie remained in this role until May 1984, when they left to take on the role of Treatment Coordinator at Excelsior Residential Treatment Center.

Richardson has dedicated their career to helping others in times of need and crisis, and their experience has made their an expert in the field. Melanie is currently using their skills and knowledge to help students at Saint Martin's University succeed both academically and personally.

Melanie Richardson has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology - Social Work from Washington State University and a Master's Degree in Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University.
