Abbas Shehadeh MD FACC has extensive work experience in the field of cardiology. Abbas started working as a Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of Peripheral Interventions at SMMC CHE in 2010. During their time there, they also served as the Director of the TAVR program, Director of Cardiovascular Research, and received various awards for their expertise in interventional cardiology and endovascular procedures. In the same year, they also took up the role of Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and Director of Interventional Cardiology at Saint Michael's Medical Center. Prior to these positions, they worked at the Cardiovascular Hemodynamic Lab at Cleveland Clinic. In 2014, they joined Mount Sinai Health System as an Associate Professor of Medicine.
Abbas Shehadeh MD FACC attended the American University of Beirut from 1988 to 1989, where they completed an Internal Medicine Residency. Abbas also received their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hațieganu", Cluj-Napoca from 1980 to 1987. Additionally, they have obtained certifications such as Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) from ARDMS and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
