Carlo Bottaro

Carlo Bottaro is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for Energy Carriers at Saipem since January 2019. Bottaro's career includes significant roles such as Director of Energy Carrier Operations and Project Portfolio Director for the Asia Pacific region at Saipem, as well as leadership positions at eni, where Bottaro managed the LNG business across Sub-Saharan Africa and oversaw operations in Mozambique. Previous experience also encompasses directing major projects such as the Kashagan offshore development in Kazakhstan and the Damietta LNG project in Egypt, along with early career roles in project management at Edison Spa, Technip, and Snamprogetti. Bottaro holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, earned between 1982 and 1989.
