Akaki Gaboshvili has extensive experience in the field of aviation and radar systems, currently serving as the Deputy Head of the Surveillance Department at SAKAERONAVIGATSIA since February 2009. Akaki has held multiple roles within the organization, including Radar System Leading Engineer, Radar System Engineer (1st and 2nd Category), and Radar Technician (1st, 2nd, and 3rd Category). In addition, Akaki has been an ATSEP OJTI Assessor and Training Instructor at the Sakaeronavigatsia Training Center since September 2018 and worked as a Seconded National Expert for EUROCONTROL from September 2016 to March 2017. Academically, Akaki holds a Master's degree in Engineering in Technical Exploitation of Air Transport and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Informatics, both from Georgian Aviation University.

Who we are? Management of air traffic within the Georgian airspace is conducted by Ltd. "SAKAERONAVIGATSIA", whose main objective is to monitor and provide aviation services and flight safety in takeoff and landing zones of international airports of Tbilisi, Kutaisi, Batumi and Mestia. What we do? • Management of air traffic movement; • Provision of radio-wave, lightning and other communication systems; • Meteorological service; • Aeronautical information services. Our mission: SAKAERONAVIGATSIA sets itself a mission to provide safe flying conditions in Georgian airspace in terms of constant and dynamic development of global air traffic. Our goal is to set safety management systems in accordance with the international standards of aviation and to reduce risk factors of air traffic accidents through the process of organizing air traffic movement.
