Suraj Gurung

Suraj Gurung, Ph.D., currently serves as the Field Pathology Manager at Sakata Seed America, Inc., where responsibilities include executing the National Seed Health System phytosanitary inspection program, enhancing integrated pest management, and monitoring diseases of phytosanitary significance. Prior to this role, Suraj Gurung was a Supply Chain Support Scientist, coordinating research-driven lab and field activities for seed production and quality assurance. Suraj Gurung completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California-Davis, focusing on the population genetics and migratory pathways of the agricultural phytopathogen Verticillium dahliae. Suraj Gurung earned a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from North Dakota State University and a Master's degree in Plant Pathology from the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science in Nepal.
