Fauzia Choudhury is a seasoned professional specializing in social work and mental health advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Anti-Violence Advocate and previously as an Anti-Violence Program Advocate at Sakhi for South Asian Survivors, Fauzia has also worked as a Psychotherapist at Saya Psychotherapy since July 2024. With experience as a Social Work Intern at the National Association of Social Workers, Fauzia engaged in initiatives promoting anti-racism, while additional roles include Mental Health Worker at The Child Center of NY and various internships focusing on clinical social work and administrative support. We unite survivors, communities, and institutions to eradicate gender-based and domestic violence, as we work together to create strong and healthy communities. Sakhi uses an integrated approach that combines support and empowerment through service delivery, community engagement, advocacy, and policy initiatives.
