P.S. Gopalakrishnan holds a Graduate degree in Commerce and Law. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers, London. He is also a Fellow of Economic Development Institute of World Bank, Washington. He was the former Chairman of IFCI Limited, Indian Overseas Bank and Oriental Bank of Commerce. He has a rich and varied experience of more than 50 years in the field of Banking and Finance.
