SALA Series
McKenzie Forbes is currently a Business Operations Associate at the SALA Series, where responsibilities include organizational tasks, event planning, and vendor correspondence. Previous experience includes serving as a Summer Basketball Coach for the Atlanta Hawks, providing basketball instruction for youth, and creating the Team Forbes travel basketball program, mentoring and coaching 40 young athletes. Additionally, McKenzie assisted in the Beyond Ballin’ program, focusing on mentorship and academic support for underserved youth athletes. McKenzie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Harvard University and is pursuing a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at USC Marshall School of Business.

SALA Series
Derived from the Italian root of the word 'salon,’ the SALA Series brings together a broad spectrum of senior-level business executives and influential figures as a way to connect, engage and spark change. As such, SALA provides an efficient marketplace for brand and business development amongst its members. Example programming includes: - Dinner Series: Intimate gatherings of up to 35 members at unique venues in key markets globally - Digital: Themed round table discussions of ten or fewer participants - Experiential: Both hospitality and community-driven experiences - Summits: Larger scale programs that bring together the entire SALA community Intrinsic to SALA's mission is to provide support for a group of extraordinary nonprofit partners; entities that also receive funding via the SALA Grant program; funds derived from individual and corporate membership dues. Another way SALA helps drive long-term impact is via the SALA Fellows program; a personal and professional development program for a group of remarkable next generation leaders from underrepresented minority communities. These Fellows participate in a dedicated yearlong curriculum and benefit from network connections with other Fellows as well as the community overall.
