Markku Hangasjärvi is the President & CEO of Salcomp, a company that develops and manufactures adapters and chargers for mobile phones and other electronic devices. Salcomp is the global market leader in smartphone and feature phone chargers, with customers that include some of the world's top 20 smartphone manufacturers.

Hangasjärvi has been with Salcomp since 2006, and became President & CEO in November of that year. Under their leadership, Salcomp has grown to become a leading player in the mobile phone charger market, with production plants in Shenzhen (China), Manaus (Brazil), and Chennai (India). In addition to these locations, Salcomp also has operations in Finland, the United States, Brazil, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, and Hong Kong. The company employs over 15,000 people worldwide.

Hangasjärvi has overseen Salcomp's expansion into new markets and product categories, helping to make it the success it is today. Markku Hangasjärvi has a Ms. Science in Electrical Engineering from Aalto University and a Ms. Science in Economics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan.
