Ryan Huffman

Ryan Huffman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Ryan currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Saleae, Inc. Since joining in October 2019, their specific responsibilities have not been specified.

Prior to this, from 2014 to 2019, Ryan worked at High Fidelity, Inc., starting as a Senior Software Engineer and eventually becoming the Lead Software Engineer. Ryan led and managed both the Tools and Client teams, focusing on developing a platform for creating and exploring virtual worlds in VR. Ryan'scontributions include enhancing in-world editing tools, developing diagnostics tools for avatars, and optimizing performance. Ryan also extended the functionality of the High Fidelity platform with support for server-side logic, asset hosting, backup and restoration tools, and a tracing library for better application performance.

In 2013, Ryan was self-employed and worked as a Software Engineer, collaborating with a client to build a web and mobile multiplayer card game using Python Tornado and PixiJS.

From 2012 to 2013, Ryan was part of The Playforge as a Backend Engineer, responsible for developing and supporting backend services for multiple iOS games. Ryan utilized Python, PHP, Redis, and MySQL, and managed infrastructure on AWS to provide live content updates and item trading.

Ryan began their career in 2009 at UpStart Mobile Inc as a Sr. Software Engineer. Ryan designed, built, and deployed a distributed backend and API using Erlang for Flywheel Taxi, a ride-hailing service. Ryan also developed a JavaScript library for real-time communication with the Erlang API server.

In 2009, Ryan participated in the Google Summer of Code as a Software Developer, where they worked on an unspecified project.

Ryan'searliest work experience was as a Student Engineer at Caltrans from 2007 to 2009. Ryan developed software for QSI hand-held devices and contributed to the control and communication with Caltrans field equipment. Ryan'sproject received recognition at the annual WTI Western States forum.

Ryan Huffman attended California State University-Sacramento and completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering in 2010.
