Julio Laguna

Julio Laguna has worked in various roles since 1996. Julio began their career as an employee at BBVA, where they provided services as an administrative and commercial worker in different offices in the Valencia and Castellon provinces. In 1999, they began a work placement at Acusvision SL, developing software management with Delphi and Paradox databases. In 2000, they joined Grupo Robles Iluminacion (hrogu) as a technical IT worker, where they were part of the team that implemented the BaaN IV c4 ERP software in the areas of finance, production and logistics, R&D, purchasing, quality and commercial. In 2007, they founded redribera.es, a website based on Drupal where users can play online games for free. This website has been visited by millions of users since its inception. In 2014, they joined Orizon Consulting as a Senior Web Application Developer, working on the Cloud Application (BOA) team, which was focused on optimizing application performance in MainFrame environments for the main Spanish financial entities. From 2015 to 2018, Julio worked at Virtualscape SL, where they were the Drupal analyst and developer (IT Team Leader). Julio managed existing projects and launched new eCommerce projects based on Drupal 7 and 8 for the Irish multinational Ding*. Finally, from 2018 to the present, Julio has worked at Sales Layer in three different roles: Product Owner and Team Leader, Head of Core Engineering, and Senior Web Application Developer. In these roles, they have worked on the Sales Layer SaaS PIM platform, integrating and connecting it with eCommerce, Marketplaces, CRMs, ERPs, platforms and web services, using Scrum-based methodology.

Julio Laguna attended the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) from 1996 to 2000, where they earned an Ingeniero Técnico degree in the field of Ingeniería informática.
