Umang Wani

Umang Wani is currently the Lead Data Scientist at salesDNA.ai, starting in June 2023, where responsibilities include analyzing complex datasets with advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to enhance strategic decision-making and improve customer experiences through NLP-driven solutions. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant and a Summer Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where Umang focused on model optimization for deployment and engineered workflows that significantly reduced model sizes while maintaining accuracy. Formerly, Umang worked as a Machine Learning Executive at Varroc from July 2018 to August 2021, developing predictive models for driving patterns and tire analytics with high accuracy. Umang's career began with an internship at DRDO, Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, in 2017. Umang holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Maharashtra Institute of Technology.
