Derek Pountney

Derek Pountney is an accomplished sales leader with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as Vice President of Sales for Telco at Salesforce from February 2020 to February 2025. Prior roles include Senior Account Director at Salesforce for Financial Services and Senior Account Executive at SAS, where management of operations for a major banking customer and leadership of a high-performance team were key responsibilities. Derek also held positions at DMTI Spatial, PCL Consulting, and Pegasystems, where effective sales strategies and team development contributed to significant business growth and the successful deployment of high-impact solutions. Derek holds an MBA from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Environmental Studies from McMaster University.
