Eric Hysen

Eric Hysen currently serves as SVP, Chief AI & Transformation Officer for Legal & Corporate Affairs at Salesforce and is an Executive Fellow in Applied Technology Policy at UC Berkeley School of Information. Previously, Hysen was the Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where responsibilities included developing the AI Roadmap and overseeing IT modernization efforts. Hysen also held roles as Chief Information Officer and Acting Deputy Under Secretary for Management at DHS, focusing on IT security and organizational transformation. Additional experience includes leading technology strategy for the Biden-Harris Transition Team and serving as a Senior Fellow at the National Conference on Citizenship. Hysen has a dual A.B. degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
