Ping Yan

Ping Yan serves as the Senior Director of Security Data Science at Salesforce, where responsibilities include directing the AI/ML-driven security strategy to combat critical threats and enhance security solutions through automation and collaboration across cloud environments. Previously, Ping Yan held the title of Director of Data Science at Salesforce, leading the Defensive Security Data Science team, and served as a Principal Research Scientist, innovating identity threat detection algorithms. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Researcher at Cisco, building cloud-based security solutions, and as a Senior Research Engineer at Websense Inc., focusing on machine learning models for detecting malicious content. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from the University of Arizona and a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
