Mara Hansen Staples

Mara Hansen Staples is the Founder & CEO of Salient Advisory, where Mara tracks the emergence of African health tech, develops actionable insights and partnerships, and supports global changemakers to advance outcomes and equity. Mara is also an Advisory Board Member at Nivi, Inc. Prior to these roles, Mara co-founded Impact for Health and worked as a Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Additionally, Mara served as a Rural Health Educator at the Moroccan Ministry of Health during their time in the Peace Corps. Mara holds an MSc in Global Health & Population from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a BA in Biology from Willamette University.
