Laifang Li

Advisor at Salient Predictions

Laifang Li is an advisor at Salient Predictions. Laifang was previously a postdoctoral scholar at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from August 2014 to January 2020. Her research there focused on regional climate modeling. From December 2011 to January 2012, they were a visiting student at Utah State University, where they explored the potential sources of RCM skill in simulating summer precipitation over the Southeastern (SE) US. From August 2009 to May 2014, they were a graduate research assistant at Duke University, where they studied the mechanisms responsible for precipitation extremes over the Southeastern (SE) US. From September 2006 to August 2009, they were a graduate research assistant at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they studied Geophysical Fluid Dynamics with a focus on climate over Southern China.

Laifang Li holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Duke University in the field of Climate Dynamics, a Master's degree from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Climate Dynamics, and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Oceanography from the Ocean University of China.
