John Buxsel, CSPM, has had a varied career in the security industry. In 1998, they began their career as a Police Officer with the Arlington Heights Police Department. In 2000, they moved to Springfield Twp. Police as a Police Officer. In 2011, they joined the Madeira Police Department as a Police Officer. In 1999, they became President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #74 Ohio, a position they held for 10 years. In 2007, they opened Trident Security Solutions, a company offering a wide range of security solutions. In 2020, they began working for Wachter, Inc. as a Project Manager/Sales Engineer, designing and engineering security and structured cabling integrations. John is currently employed as a Systems Engineer for Salient Systems, where they are responsible for presales and post sales support for enterprise level VMS solutions.
John Buxsel's education history includes attending St. Xavier High School from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a diploma in College Preparatory, and Xavier University from 1994 to 1995, where they studied accounting and criminal justice. John has also obtained certifications from Salient Systems (CompleteView 2020, obtained in November 2020), Security Industry Association (Certified Security Project Manager, obtained in 2017), Exacq (Exacqvision certification), Kantech Access Control (Kantech Enterprise certification), and HID Global (pivCLASS certification for FIPS201 facilities).
