Randy Lapp has a long history of work experience in the security industry. Randy began their career in 1973 as a Delivery Operation Supervisor at United Parcel Service. In 1986, they became the Vice-President/General Manager at Rock River Service, where they were responsible for sales of access control and mobile communications, as well as maintaining budgets and developing computer procedures for entering and retrieval of pertinent customer information. In 2000, they joined Pro Com Systems division of Ballard Companies as a System Sales Integrator. In 2004, they became the Technology Manager at both BNM Security Solutions and Brainard-Nielsen Marketing, where they were responsible for training sales teams through demonstrations and sales calls. In 2011, they joined Salient Systems as an Inside Sales Key Account Manager, and later became Regional Business Development Manager and Business Development Manager. In this role, they were responsible for sales and design services leveraging the company's current resellers and dealers to generate software and hardware sales/upgrade opportunities, and developing sales strategies with resellers and distributors to develop long term security solutions through a consultative approach. Randy eventually became Regional Sales Manager.

Randy Lapp attended Jefferson High School from 1970 to 1974. Randy then went on to pursue a degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Rock Valley College.
