Salin 247
Saeed Arabi is a co-founder of Salin247, active since April 2021, and a graduate research assistant at Iowa State University since September 2015. In the current research role, Saeed developed an autonomous skid steer rover using ROS, focusing on sensor fusion for localization and object detection. Previous work includes developing finite element models for predicting fatigue life of civil infrastructures and reliability assessments under environmental stressors. As an Autonomous Vehicle Engineering Intern at Smart Ag, Saeed contributed to the object detection training pipeline and multi-object tracking algorithms while gaining experience in test-driven development and scrum methodologies. Saeed holds a PhD in Intelligent Infrastructure and a Master's degree in Engineering from Iowa State University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Tehran.
