Matthew Brungardt

Matthew Brungardt is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Principal at Salina Central High School since July 2019 and has held the role of Principal at Lawrence High School since July 2003. With a strong focus on improving graduation rates, Matthew successfully increased the four-year graduation rate from 71.6% to 90%. Previous roles include Associate Principal at Lawrence High School, where responsibilities included supervision of counseling services and classified staff, and leadership of various educational initiatives. Additionally, Matthew has experience as an Adjunct Faculty Member at FRIEND'S UNIVERSITY and has held principal and teaching positions at Kapaun Mount Carmel High School and Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. Matthew holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University and multiple degrees in education and political science from various institutions.
