Philip Katzenberger

Philip Katzenberger, MBA, RHIA, is a seasoned healthcare professional with extensive experience in health information management and privacy oversight. Currently serving as the Director of Health Information Management and Privacy Officer at Salinas Valley Health since November 2021, Katzenberger also holds a similar role overseeing three Dignity Health Bay Area Hospitals with UnitedHealthcare Optum since January 2018. Previous leadership positions include Director of Health Information Services at San Francisco General Hospital and Director of Health Information Management at Tenet Community Hospital of Los Gatos, among others. With a blend of clinical and administrative expertise, Katzenberger's background also includes military service as a hull technician in the United States Navy during the Gulf War. Educational qualifications encompass an MBA from Saint Mary's College of California and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Information from Saint Louis University.
