Jesse Mathers

Jesse Mathers, Ph.D., currently serves as the Head of Upper School at The Salisbury School since July 2024. With extensive experience in gifted education, Jesse has been affiliated with the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth since June 2014, where responsibilities have included training and mentoring instructional staff, managing budgets and supplies, and developing curricula for gifted students. Previous roles include Academic Dean and Science Department Chair at Kimball Union Academy (2019-2024) and various positions at The Calverton School (2013-2019), where Jesse implemented innovative educational programs and mentored new faculty. Jesse holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine and a B.S. in Biology and International Studies from the Schreyer Honors College at The Pennsylvania State University.
