Mike Wright has extensive experience in housing and homelessness, currently serving as the Strategic Lead on Homelessness at Greater Manchester Combined Authority since January 2017. In this role, Mike develops improved systems and practices to address homelessness and eradicate rough sleeping across Greater Manchester. Simultaneously, Mike has been the Service Director for Housing Choice & Support at Salix Homes since March 2015, overseeing front-facing housing services in Salford and Trafford. Previous positions include Director of Homelessness at Manchester City Council from July 2019 to May 2022 and Head of Housing Choice at Salford City Council from May 2007 to March 2015. Additionally, Mike held roles at Sheffield City Council and Manchester City Council prior to these positions. Mike Wright holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) in Economics from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
