Brian Kirk

Brian Kirk is an accomplished Lab Manager and Research Biologist at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, with additional responsibilities as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University, where courses taught include Core Methods of Biotechnology and Molecular Pathways of Aging. Brian's diverse experience encompasses roles as a Program Manager and Research Scientist at Zafrens, a Research Associate and Lab Manager at Sanford Burnham Prebys, and positions at Meso Scale Diagnostics, the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, and Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, contributing to various research and development projects, particularly in biotechnology and drug resistance. An alumnus of Georgetown University with a Master's in Biotechnology, Brian graduated as the top student in a class of 50, complemented by a strong foundational education in Chemical Engineering and Explosives Engineering from the University of Southern California and Missouri University of Science and Technology.
