Jim Truitt

Jim Truitt serves as the SVP-Chief Compliance Officer at Sallie Mae, leveraging extensive experience in compliance and operational risk management. Previously, Jim held the position of SVP Compliance and Operational Risk Executive at Bank of America from 2005 to June 2008. Prior to that, Jim spent over two decades at MBNA America/BAC, ultimately rising to the role of EVP Compliance and Control. Jim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, between 1981 and 1985.
